Why Are There No Tourists Buying Indian Gold Ornaments?

Many people who have been to India know that India's gold is very cheap, the price per gram is less than one-third of the price of gold in China, and it is very beautifully produced. It doesn't cost much to buy a gold necklace that looks very luxurious. However, tourists see such a cheap gold ornaments but they are extraordinarily calm and have no intention to buy. Why is this?

The first is purity. India's purity is only 18K due to insufficient purification technology, and even lower. However, the standard purity of China's gold is 24K, and 18K gold can be made in China, and it is very cheap.  There is no need to go to India to buy.

In addition, the gold we generally see is extracted from gold mines and then refined. But India is different. In doing so, seems to be a resource reuse to protect the environment, but the source of complex metal scrap cannot be determined.

These metal scraps are very easy to contain some heavy metals harmful to the human body. In addition, India's gold refining technology is not high. The gold is mixed with impurities, and it is very likely to include some heavy metal substances. The long-term wear is very harmful to  the human body. The other is the security problem in India. The gap between rich and poor in India is large, and social security is not very good. Buying gold in India is easy to be targeted by the bad guys.
