Van Cleef & Arpels' new season of high-end jewelry series "Legend of Diamonds" consists of 25 pieces, all of which are cut from a 910ct rare giant rough diamond - the Lesotho Legend (Lesotho Legend), which pays tribute to the nature of natural diamonds Extraordinary charm.
The 910ct rough diamond "Lesotho Legend" was mined in 2018 from the Letšeng mine in the Kingdom of Lesotho in southern Africa, and is the fifth largest gem-quality rough diamond in the world to date. This rough was cut by diamond dealer Taché with 67 D-color flawless diamonds totaling 441.75ct, including oval, pear, emerald, Asscher, and other rich cuts.
Van Cleef & Arpels skillfully integrates these 67 legendary diamonds of different cuts and distinctive characters into the hidden setting design, with the color feast of ruby, sapphire and emerald hidden setting set off the bright and moving brilliance of huge diamonds .
“Legend of Diamonds”The highlight of the high jewellery collection is an oval-cut diamond weighing 79.35ct with 57 facets, perfectly proportioned and flawless. Inspired by historical works from the 1930s, Van Cleef & Arpels uses rubies and diamonds to create ribbon-like necklaces that hang like a dazzling center stone.
