The main producing areas of black pearls are Hawaii, Tahiti, French Polynesia and so on. Since the 1860s, Tahiti has produced world-famous cultured black pearls, and its output has grown steadily, accounting for about 95% of the world's black pearl production. Tahiti has almost become synonymous with black pearls.
Tahiti black pearls are larger than ordinary white marine cultured pearls. Most black pearls have a particle size between 9mm and 10mm. Black pearl treasures have a limit of 11mm, while round black pearls over 15mm are more expensive and rare.
