3D printing is widely used in the jewelry industry. The introduction of 3D printing services has enabled jewelers to produce high-precision parts that can be cast in a short period of time. Currently printed with green wax, it can be used in wax molds in the jewelry manufacturing process and can be directly used for metal molds. 3D printing services jewelry manufacturing, technology is getting more and more mature。

Compared to traditional hand engraving, 3D printing greatly reduces processing time. Recently, in order to keep the processing time of jewelers within a few minutes, people have begun to compete.

3D printers are layer-by-layer, each layer must be exposed to light sources, and exposure time is limited by layer thickness and material reactivity. Once the fixed layer is formed, the printer initiates a layer separation procedure to strip the layer to replenish the new resin.

In order to ensure the quality of 3D printing, the effect of this peeling separation is minimized, and the quality of 3D printing is continuously improved.

When using wax-based materials, the exposure time is usually three to four times that of ordinary plastic acrylic polymers. The stronger the material castability (wax content), the slower the exposure. Some suppliers are able to process in a few minutes using a standard layer stripping process. However, they use a resin that contains more plastic than the wax, resulting in a rough surface with voids and a finished product is not good.

The cDLM technology adds an air gap between the part and the bottom print station. Through the floating layer, the separation force is completely eliminated, so there is no peeling process at all.

The 3D printer is capable of printing up to 90% wax-filled resin, and the finished product is comparable to any traditional hand-engraved or injection-molded wax mold.

In addition, 3D printing processing is also fast, which can effectively reduce the jeweler's production cycle. Traditionally, casting materials take a few days to complete. However, with 3D printing technology, the ring can be designed and cast in just one day, which is a huge advantage for the jewelry market.
