What Is Lemon Quartz

The origin of the name lemon quartz is obvious from the appearance, looks like a brightly colored lemon, and has a little green tones.

It appeared in Brazil in 1990 and was once called Ouro Verde, in which ouro is golden and verde is green. Because of his green color, it is also called green gold, lemon tea crystal and so on. Also known as Citrine.

However, only the natural yellow crystal of stone and color can be called citrine, while the stone of lemon crystal is natural crystal, and the color is transparent crystal which is artificially changed by radiation and heating. When it is irradiated, the transparent color will be converted into brown to black, and then lightened by heat treatment and stabilized to make it not fade.
