Fresh water: These are usually cultivated in freshwater lakes and ponds. These pearls come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. China and the United States are the main producing areas.


Nan yang pearls are more representative and more famous are gold and light blue pearls.


Tahitian pearls are best known for their black pearls, which also contain a variety of colors, such as black pearls with green and purple effects.
