The diamond is a cubic crystal system;
Silicon carbide is more complex and has at least 70 crystalline types.
α-silicon carbide is the most common, at higher than 2000°c high temperature formation, with six square crystalline structure (like zinc ore). Beta-sic, cubic crystalline structure, similar to diamonds, is generated below 2000°c.
