At the end of last year, “Sustainable Diamonds” (referred to as SD) was selected into the 50th Annual Best Inventions of the Year in the American Times. The only selected product in the jewelry field has once again become the focus of the market.
What is SD "sustainable diamond"? It is reported that it is produced by a CVD method (referred to as chemical vapor deposition) and solar energy technology in a plasma reactor, which has the same physical and chemical properties and crystal structure as natural diamonds. "Cultivating diamonds", according to the definition of "synthetic diamonds" in the jewelry industry - completely or partially artificially produced equiaxed crystal crystals composed of carbon atoms, whose physical properties, chemical composition and crystal structure are basically the same as those of natural diamonds. SD, a "nurturing diamond" from Diamond Foundry in the United States, is also a type of synthetic diamond. The term “cultivation” here refers to the fact that in the laboratory environment, the experimenter develops the growth environment of natural diamonds by simulating nature, allowing a diamond seed to “grow” grow up in the laboratory environment. Natural diamonds are also random due to the uncontrollable growth environment, but the “cultivating diamonds” that are “planted” in the laboratory have relatively stable attributes.
