How does Moissanite form?

Moissanite can be divided into natural and artificial moissanite. The former is extremely rare in the earth environment and can only be used as a mineral for scientific research, while the latter is manufactured in artificial environment relying on modern science and technology, with more output than natural mozanite.

How does natural moissanite come into being?

Natural Moissanite needs silicon and carbon elements to form at high temperature and pressure with impact. The earliest natural moissanite was discovered in a crater by Dr. Mozan, a Nobel Laureate in France. Because the conditions for the formation of moissanite are too harsh, the content of moissanite in nature is very rare, much lower than that of diamonds! Therefore, natural Moissanite is difficult to be used as a gemstone in jewelry.

How does artificial moissanite come into being?

Artificial moissanite is cultivated slowly by using a small amount of natural moissanite as "seed" and exerting pressure, high temperature and impact on the simulation of "seed" of moissanite stone in the laboratory of modern science and technology. Moissanite from laboratory has the same characteristics as natural moissanite and is widely used in industry. Most of the common artificial moissanite are used as industrial stone.

Moissanite used in jewelry processing is carefully selected from artificial moissanite. These moissanite stones must be identified by multiple processes and meet the relevant conditions for the use of moissanite tones as ornaments: fire color, purity, color and Clara 4C standard. Due to strict standards, the number of artificial mulberry stones that can be used as ornaments is scarce, and each one is precious. Especially the Moissanite of Dakar is very difficult to form, and the quantity is very rare. At present, the market is still in a state of shortage of supply and demand.
